This would be a steal in the sixth round. Trey Adams is a tough and tenacious blocker with the potential to start in the NFL one day. He has great length and pretty solid athleticism, along with exceptional football IQ. He does have some concerns, such as struggling with blitzes and speedy edge rushers, but selecting him in the sixth round presents little risk for the Bengals.

Offensive tackle is a pretty big need for Cincinnati, and if the Bengals aren’t able to take someone like Josh Jones at the start of day two or trade back from pick 33 for Lucas Niang, waiting until next offseason to add one early in the draft could be the right move.

However, Adams has some upside and could be great value in the sixth round. This just sets the Bengals up with even more depth on their offensive line, and the former Washington tackle could possibly even compete with Bobby Hart and Fred Johnson for the right tackle spot.

Trey Adams has great size at 6’8” and 314 lbs, and at the very least could be a solid depth option for the Bengals for years to come. This pick makes sense for the Bengals in this situation, after selecting a guard in round 4.
