The Bengals add yet another piece for Joe Burrow here in tight end Devin Asiasi. The 22-year-old had a breakout campaign last year for the Bruins, with 641 receiving yards and 4 touchdowns, all while averaging 14.6 yards per catch.

Zac Taylor already has a pretty good tight end in C.J. Uzomah, and Drew Sample is expected to develop into a tremendous blocker. However, Asiasi brings something to the table neither of the other two tight ends on the roster does.

He can line up out wide or in line and he’s big threat up the seams, more so than Uzomah. What makes this pick so intriguing is two-fold. First, he has so much room to grow and he could develop into a serious offensive weapon. Second, Burrow has never played with a tight end as athletic as Asiasi and so it could open up something new in both of their games.

Bengals fans are well aware of how much better the offense runs with a tight end that can make plays in the passing game. Unfortunately, Tyler Eifert has packed his bags for Jacksonville. Asiasi isn’t the same prospect Eifert was but he could play a similar role and help the Bengals give opposing defensive coordinators headaches by creating matchup nightmares.

Between A.J. Green, Tyler Boyd, John Ross, Auden Tate, Joe Mixon, the newly acquired Edwards, and Asiasi, the Bengals would field an array of weapons that all bring unique and valuable skillsets to the table, making them very difficult to defend.
