Former players that should join the Bengals’ staff: Chad Johnson

Out of every former Bengal, no single player may be as loved around Cincinnati as Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson. Across the span of his 11-year career, he brought fans joy and numerous memories.

He made the Bengals fun again and although he no longer suits up on Sundays, he continues to draw a positive spotlight to the team. He’s been heavily involved with the franchise’s activities, appearing on broadcasts, defending his former employers on major networks, and even attempting to set up workouts with current players. There’s no reason he shouldn’t be even further involved.

He’s known to have the best footwork in the history of the NFL, a skillset he could attempt to pass along to the Bengals’ young receivers. Beyond that, he makes the Bengals more entertaining and will draw people to the fanbase.

Honorable Mention:

Andrew Whitworth- Although Whitworth is still going strong in the league, once he hangs it up, the Bengals should bring him back. He’s one of the greatest leaders in the history of the franchise and an invaluable source of knowledge. Perhaps he can even teach a lesson or two about how he’s been able to continue his level of play at age 38.
