The Cincinnati Bengals will put up plenty of points if they utilize these ideal red-zone packages in 2020.

There were a lot of reasons the Cincinnati Bengals came away with just two wins from the 2019 campaign. Chief among them were consistently poor performances in the red-zone. Zac Taylor’s crew ranked 30th in the NFL for red-zone scoring percentage in 2019, cashing in on only 43.75% of their appearances in the money zone.

If the organization wants to get off the mat and give themselves a legitimate chance to compete in the AFC North, it will start with their ability to convert once they’re inside the 20-yard line. Thankfully, the front office has done a great job of giving the coaching staff the personnel required to thrive there.

Joe Burrow has a good chance to be an improvement over Andy Dalton right away and the return of A.J. Green will certainly help matters as well. Not to mention, the team went out and drafted Tee Higgins in the second round, whose frame, leaping ability, and knack for making contested catches will give opposing defensive coordinators nightmares.

The arsenal that has been assembled in the Queen City should allow for the orange and black faithful to see many more points on the board than they’ve grown accustomed to, especially if the offensive coaches utilize these packages.
