Cincinnati Bengals’ star wide receiver, A.J. Green, has seen enough to make a bold prediction for Joe Burrow’s future.

Add A.J. Green to the long list of people expecting excellence from the Cincinnati Bengals’ new man under center, Joe Burrow. During a press conference, the seven-time Pro Bowler predicted that the LSU product now tasked with getting him the football will enjoy 15 years of success in the league. Entering his 10th year in stripes, Green knows a thing or two about performing at a high level, so it’s safe to say he knows budding excellence when he sees it.

It seems that Burrow has convinced everybody to believe in his capabilities just a few weeks into his first training camp with the Bengals. First, C.J. Uzomah gushed over his skillset, calling him a “beast” and complimenting his vision. Then, head coach Zac Taylor made an appearance on NFL Network to say the reigning Heisman “breathes life into the offense” and that he’s earned the respect he’s getting.

Now, Green is the latest to heap praise on Burrow. As one of the most tenured and respected Bengals, that should certainly carry some weight.

Joe Burrow will have to develop chemistry with A.J. Green on the fly

Most of A.J. Green’s comments on Joe Burrow appear to be rooted in observations rather than actual on-field experience with him. Cincinnati knows what Green is capable of, and has opted to protect him from injury by heavily limiting his snaps.

This is a smart move, but it means less time to build chemistry and perfect timing between Burrow and Green. Apparently, the coaching staff believes the two can develop that on the fly.

At the very least, Burrow has already developed quite the connection with a number of the receivers in his arsenal, most notably Tyler Boyd and Auden Tate. Even if the 9-18 connection starts slow to begin the season, he’ll have those two to fall back on.

Either way, the home opener is still over two weeks away. There’s plenty of time for the duo to get on the same page. If they do, Green will play a big role in making his prediction of Burrow’s excellence come true.
