The Cincinnati Bengals could attempt to trade disappointing wide receiver John Ross to one of these three franchises.

In a segment on Good Morning Football, it was revealed that wide receiver John Ross approached the Cincinnati Bengals with a trade request. The talks between the franchise and his agent reportedly didn’t get far.

That doesn’t mean Duke Tobin won’t opt to deal the underwhelming former first-round pick if the right trade package comes along. At this point, “the right deal” should be anything the club can salvage. Ross will be a free agent once the season is up and there is virtually zero chance he remains in stripes.

The former Washington standout clearly has no role left in Zac Taylor’s offense. After flashing the potential that caused him to be selected with the ninth overall pick early on in 2019, an injury once again caused him to sputter. Since then, drops have plagued him, causing a plummet down the depth chart.

Ross spent two of the past three weeks inactive and in the third, he logged just a single snap. Simply put, he won’t see significant snaps unless Taylor is fired or there is a major injury within the wide receiver room.

Just because Ross doesn’t have value with the Bengals doesn’t mean he won’t intrigue the right organization. After all, he is arguably the fastest man in the NFL and flashed plenty of potential prior to joining the Bengals.

If Cincinnati plays their cards right, they may be able to get a late-round pick from one of these three teams.
