John Ross landing spots: Green Bay Packers

As long as Aaron Rodgers is at the helm for the Green Bay Packers, there’s a chance that they can make some noise in the postseason. However, after a hot 4-0 start, it became painfully obvious in their loss to the Buccaneers that Matt LaFleur’s offense needs some additional firepower behind Davante Adams.

John Ross hasn’t proven he’s a capable number two receiver but he should be able to take some attention off of Adams and emerging tight end Robert Tonyan, at the very least. No matter how little production he’s had thus far, he has the speed to take the top off of a defense, and opposing coordinators will have to respect that.

There’s also a good chance that Ross can build a solid rapport with Rodgers. Over the course of his career, Rodgers has elicited a ton of production out of receivers with far less upside than Ross.

After sending a disrespectful message last April by drafting Rodgers’ replacement instead of dipping into the talented wide receiver prospect pool, the Packers can make amends by attempting to acquire Ross. Rodgers isn’t getting any younger and you simply can’t waste a year of his talent if you’re Green Bay.
