At the midway point of the 2020 season, the Cincinnati Bengals have a 2-5-1 record. With the playoffs not likely, it’s time to look ahead to the draft.

The Cincinnati Bengals shocked the entire country in week eight when they defeated the then 5-1 Tennessee Titans by a score of 31-20 to improve to a record of 2-5-1. In this win, first-year quarterback Joe Burrow and the Bengals showed a glimpse of what their future could hold once all of the pieces come together.

Speaking of pieces coming together, the 2021 NFL Draft will be crucial for the Bengals’ front office. Burrow has blown fans and media away with his production as a rookie and it’s clear they need to surround him with a better roster. They’ve got the most important piece in place, now they need to solve the rest of the puzzle while the young gunslinger is still on his rookie deal.

The narrative has already begun that the Bengals are ruining Burrow and they need to put an end to that storyline before he starts to believe it himself. They can do so either via free agency or the draft.

While it’s currently unclear if Zac Taylor, Lou Anarumo, and the rest of the Bengals’ current coaching staff will be around in 2021, there are some glaring holes on the roster that will need to be fixed regardless of who’s coaching. Let’s take a look at the first four rounds and who the Bengals may take in the NFL Draft.
