The Bengals travel to Pittsburgh Sunday hoping to end a 10 game losing streak against the Steelers.
The Bengals are coming off of a bye after playing their most complete game of the season in a 31-20 victory over the Tennessee Titans. Cincinnati and Pittsburgh will play in the late Sunday afternoon window with a 4:25 PM kickoff. Rookie quarterback Joe Burrow will play the Steelers for the first time.
The Bengals enter Sunday’s game with a 10 game losing streak to the Steelers. Cincinnati has not defeated Pittsburgh since a 16-10 victory in 2015. Bengals head coach Zac Taylor is 0-2 against Pittsburgh losing his first two games in the rivalry last season. Steelers coach Mike Tomlin is 21-5 all-time against the Bengals.
The domination by Pittsburgh during the Tomlin era has extended its all-time advantage over the Bengals to 64 wins and 34 losses. The longest winning streak for Cincinnati against Pittsburgh was six when they swept the season series from 1988-90. An eight-game Pittsburgh winning streak followed.
Sunday has the potential to be a high scoring game. The Bengals are a deceiving 20th in scoring and Pittsburgh is fifth. Cincinnati has scored 91 points over its last three games, has scored at least 27 points in five of its eight games and 30 points four times. The Pittsburgh defense is elite, but Burrow will challenge them.

The Bengals are playing only their second late afternoon game this season. Cincinnati began the 2020 season with a 16-13 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers that had a 4:05 PM kickoff. The Bengals have had one primetime game when they lost 35-30 to Cleveland on Thursday night week two.
Cincinnati has one more primetime game schedule this season. The Bengals and Steelers play week 14, December 21 on ESPN. FOX will handle the broadcast this week. The old system of AFC games being on CBS and NFC being on FOX was changed a few years. It makes finding the games more difficult.

The Bengals are one of eight games in the late window. Another game to keep an eye on is the Los Angeles Chargers at Miami. The two biggest challengers to Burrow for Rookie of the Year, Justin Herbert of the Chargers and Tua Tagovailoa of the Dolphins will share the field at Hard Rock Stadium on Sunday.
Burrow, Herbert and Tagovailoa are the future for the NFL at QB. On Sunday, Burrow and Ben Roethlisberger will take the field in the same game for the first time. Roethlisberger is 24-7 all-time against Cincinnati. Roethlisberger was in the COVID protocol this week and had an injured knee suffered last week against Dallas.
