Cincinnati Bengals at Washington Football team: Game and broadcast information

The Cincinnati Bengals are at the Washington Football team in a very winnable game Sunday.

The 2-6-1 Cincinnati Bengals play at the 2-7 Washington Football Team in a game that is a tossup. Cincinnati is coming off of a 36-10 loss at Pittsburgh. Washington lost 30-27 at Detroit last week. The Bengals hold a 5-4-1 all-time record against Washington. The teams last played to a 27 all tie in 2016.

Cincinnati enters the game on Sunday with a four-game unbeaten streak against Washington. The Bengals have not lost to Washington since 1991. Washington went on to win its third Superbowl under Joe Gibbs. The Bengals’ last victory over Washington came during Cincinnati’s second Superbowl year in 1988.

Washington earned their sole victories this season 27-17 over Philadelphia in the season opener and 25-3 week seven over the Dallas Cowboys. The Eagles, Cleveland Browns and Baltimore Ravens are the three teams that the Bengals and Washington have in common. Cincinnati is 0-3-1 against those three this season.

Washington is 1-2 against Baltimore, Cleveland and Philadelphia this season. The Bengals will play Dallas and the New York Giants to finish out their schedule against the NFC East this season. Washington plays at Pittsburgh in two weeks to finish out their schedule against the AFC North.

Cincinnati is attempting to win their first road game since a 37-36 victory September 30, 2018 at Atlanta. That is an 18 game winless streak on the road. Cincinnati’s lone game avoiding a loss in their last 18 road games was the 23-all tie at Philadelphia in September. Washington enters Sunday with a bye and two straight losses.

Archuleta should provide a unique perspective on the progress Joe Burrow has made this season and how he plays against a secondary ranked first in pass defense.

The Washington run defense is not as strong, ranking 21st in the NFL. Cincinnati matches up with the 16th ranked pass defense and 21st ranked rushing offense. Washington has the 20th ranked passing offense and is 30th in rushing yards per game. The Bengals are 26th in the NFL against the run and 27th against the pass.
