Cincinnati Bengals four round 2021 mock draft

The Bengals are one of the worst pass-rushing teams in the league, and they must take advantage of an extremely impressive prospect pool at the EDGE position in 2021. In most classes, Quincy Roche probably doesn’t make it to the top of round three, but thanks to the aforementioned depth at the position, he has a chance to be scooped up by the orange and black.

The 6’3, 245-pound quarterback terrorizer came away with 26 sacks over the course of a three-year career with Temple. He opted to transfer to the Miami Hurricanes for his final collegiate season but finds himself lacking in terms of sacks in his new home.

So far, he’s only accounted for 2.5 sacks. However, he’s found other ways to make an impact. He has a forced fumble along with two fumble recoveries, and he routinely makes tackles for a loss. In fact, as of a week ago, he led the FBS in the statistic this season.

Sometimes for defensive ends, things just break in a way that doesn’t allow them to hit home. Roche hasn’t let that discourage him, and he’s continued to find ways to make his presence felt.

Put Roche on the opposite side of Carl Lawson, and the Bengals should at least take a big step in terms of rushing the passer. Considering the fact that Sam Hubbard will be in the mix and there are other avenues to add rushers, and it’s safe to say Cincinnati will be much better at throwing opposing quarterbacks out of rhythm in 2021.
