These five players, set to become free agents once the season is up, are likely playing their final games for the Cincinnati Bengals.

With just two victories 12 weeks into the 2020 campaign, it has become painfully obvious that the Cincinnati Bengals need another roster overhaul in order to find themselves in a more competitive position in the AFC North. Rest assured, there will be plenty of talent entering the organization via the draft and free agency to complete such a process. However, naturally, there will be just as many players exiting the franchise as there are entering it.

The front office is likely feeling the pressure from a disgruntled fan base. Now that they’ve had an active free agency for seemingly the first time in team history, the orange and black faithful are pounding the table for an encore performance, as they should. There’s plenty of reason to believe the decision-makers will oblige.

As things stand, the Bengals are set to have a whopping 30 free agents once the season mercifully ends for the Joe Burrow-less squad. The team is armed with plenty of cap space and they’ll be bringing a fair number of those players back, but they’ll also look to dip into the open market to address their biggest needs: protection for their new signal-caller and help with the pass rush.

Whether a player’s salary must be sacrificed in order to shore up a weaker position group or their skill set just doesn’t fit in with the direction the club is going, these five soon-to-be free agents are likely in the midst of their final games in stripes.
