With reports emerging that Jim Turner will be fired by the Bengals, here are four potential candidates to join Zac Taylor’s staff as offensive line coach.

During head coach Zac Taylor’s tenure with the Bengals, there have not been many people more maligned in the city of Cincinnati than offensive line coach Jim Turner. According to recent reports, that will be changing soon as the Bengals plan to get rid of Turner along with other assistant coaches in the coming days.

When Taylor came to Cincinnati, he chose not to retain a good offensive line coach in Frank Pollack, choosing instead to bring in Turner, a family member. Over the past two seasons, the Bengals’ offensive line has been the team’s biggest weakness.

This all came to a head when Joe Burrow had his season finished by an ACL injury. Many blamed the offensive line, Turner, Taylor, and the front office for the franchise quarterback’s big injury. It appears that Turner will be the fall guy, as Taylor will be returning for his third year as the Bengals’ head coach.

While there will still be plenty of holes on the offensive line, a new coach leading the unit alone should be a significant improvement. In this article, we will go over four options that would make sense for the Bengals to consider.

Obviously, there are dozens of different people that could be in line for the Bengals’ offensive line coach position, so these four may not even be on the Bengals’ radar. Others on the list are somewhat unrealistic but would be great if possible. Either way, these options would all make sense and be likely to improve the Bengals’ offensive line.
