Bengals’ draft option #3: Kyle Pitts, TE, Florida

Tight end is not necessarily a need for the Bengals. Between Drew Sample and C.J. Uzomah, Joe Burrow has an underwhelming but average duo of tight ends at his disposal. However, if they can solve some of their other problems is free agency, Florida tight end Kyle Pitts is so talented that he may just be the perfect luxury pick.

Regarded by many as a potential generational talent at the tight end position, Pitts would be a complete game-changer for Burrow and the Bengals’ offense. Just look at how players like Rob Gronkowski, Travis Kelce, and George Kittle have impacted their teams. That is the type of impact that Pitts has the potential to make for the lucky team that selects him.

Pitts is a matchup nightmare at tight end, as he has consistently displayed the ability to beat man-to-man coverage against defenders. He has great hands, scary athleticism, and can go up and get jump balls with ease.

The Bengals would have to bring in some offensive line help through free agency for the pick to make sense, but if they do, Pitts would be an excellent pick for the Bengals. Doing so would give them potentially the best pass catcher in the draft.
