Most Difficult Matchups on Cincinnati Bengals 2021 Schedule

No. 1: Kansas City Chiefs

It was hard not to go with the Chiefs as the Bengals’ toughest opponent for 2021. The Chiefs have represented the AFC in the last two Super Bowls and have made it to the last three AFC Championship Games, hosting all three of them. There’s no debating that the Chiefs are the team to beat not just in the AFC, but overall.

The last time Cincinnati met up with the Chiefs was in 2018 and well — It didn’t go well. The Bengals were blasted in a Sunday night game at Arrowhead, losing 45-10. Prior to that, however, they had won four straight games over Kansas City.

Patrick Mahomes and Joe Burrow going head-to-head will be a lot of fun though and we haven’t seen Burrow play against the Chiefs yet. Kansas City is going to be motivated this year after losing in the Super Bowl and while this game is slated to take place in Cincinnati, Mahomes is insanely good and should be able to put up points against this Bengals defense.

The question that will be on everyone’s minds will be — Can the Bengals keep up with the explosive Chiefs offense? If they can, this game could be surprising for some people.

This year’s schedule is brutal for the Bengals but the team is used to difficult schedules due to playing in the always-stacked AFC North. If the Bengals can’t keep up with their divisional foes, then they’ll be left in the dust quickly.
