Ranking Bengals Opponents by Difficulty

13. New York Jets (Week 8)

The second “easiest” opponent on the 2021 schedule comes in Week 8 when the Bengals head to New York for a date with the Jets. This game takes place on the road, which makes it a little trickier, but the Bengals are the more talented team on paper.

The Jets looked to be on their way to landing the rights to Trevor Lawrence last season until they won two of their final three games. That bumped them to the No. 2 overall pick where they took Zach Wilson out of BYU with the hopes that he can be what they were wanting Sam Darnold to be — The savior of the franchise.

New York should be better than a two-win team this year and their defense was actually respectable last year. The problem, however, is their offense, which might not be able to keep up with Joe Burrow and the Bengals’ offense.

While this could be a much closer game than people think, the Jets are definitely one of the “easier” opponents on Cinncinati’s schedule.
