Ranking Bengals Opponents by Difficulty

10. Minnesota Vikings (Week 1)

The Bengals face the Vikings in the first game of the season and we know officially that Joe Burrow is “all systems go” for that matchup. This gives Bengals fans more optimism, as they’ll have their franchise quarterback under center and ready to take on the 2021 season.

Even better, is that Cincinnati is getting a beatable opponent for their first game of the 2021 campaign. The Vikings got off to a very sluggish start last year and that’s what Bengals fans are hoping happens this time around too. Getting off to a 1-0 start would be a huge boost of confidence for this young Bengals team.

It helps that this game is in Cincinnati and that the stadium will be much fuller than it was a year ago. People are going to want to see Burrow back in action and they’ll be sure their voices are heard in Week 1. Vikings fans travel well though so let’s hope there’s not more purple than orange and SKOL chants to be heard.

Looking at the quarterback matchup for this one — Burrow is better than Kirk Cousins (and Cousins’ own receiver even said Burrow is more the confident signal-caller), which tips the scale in favor of a Bengals win.
