Toughest Quarterbacks on Bengals 2021 Schedule – No. 2: Aaron Rodgers*

There’s an asterisk by Aaron Rodgers‘ name because who knows if he’ll even be with the Green Bay Packers when the 2021 season kicks off? If he isn’t there, would he potentially land in Denver, who is also on the Bengals’ schedule?

There are so many questions we need to be answered about this but for now, we’re going to pretend that Rodgers will stay pat with the Pack. If that’s the case, the Bengals host Rodgers and the Packers in Week 5 for what should be a more competitive game than people are expecting.

The Bengals have actually fared well against Rodgers during the course of his career and he’s only 1-2 against Cincinnati. It took Rodgers until 2017 to win his first game against the Bengals and even then, it came in overtime, and he threw an interception and was sacked a whopping six times.

Even with Rodgers’ previous struggles against Cincinnati, he’s still a tough quarterback and the second toughest on their schedule this year. He threw for 4,299 yards, 48 touchdowns, and five interceptions last year, earning him the MVP honors for the season at age 37. It was his third MVP title and threw a wrench in the Packers’ plans as far as the quarterback situation was concerned.

It won’t be easy slowing Rodgers and company down when the Pack visit the Bengals in Week 5 but it can be done. Hopefully, Cincy’s luck against Rodgers continues in 2021.
