Toughest Running Backs on Bengals 2021 Schedule: No. 3 – Aaron Jones

In Week 5, the Bengals host the Green Bay Packers and while there’s talk of Aaron Rodgers not being with the team by that point, running back Aaron Jones will be a Packer and he’ll be ready to build on his dominant 2020 season.

Jones, a fifth-round pick out of Texas-El Paso in the 2017 NFL Draft, rushed for 1,104 yards, nine touchdowns and also did damage as a receiver. He notched 47 receptions for 355 yards and two receiving touchdowns through 14 games.

If Rodgers isn’t with the Packers, then Jones is going to be leaned on even more so than usual to take the pressure off of Jordan Love. Jones has shown, however, that he’s one of Rodgers’ favorite weapons whether it’s handing off to him or being open to catch a pass and he’s proven to be an absolute nightmare to stop.

Jones’ best game last year came in Week 2 against the Lions. The Packers running back rushed for 168 yards on 18 carries and added another 68 receiving yards to his resumé. He scored three total touchdowns in that one.

Jones is a game-changer and he’ll be looking to put up a similar stat line against the Bengals at Paul Brown Stadium.
