Toughest Running Backs on Bengals 2021 Schedule: No. 2 – Nick Chubb

The Bengals have to face Browns running back Nick Chubb twice a year for probably quite some time and that’s no easy task. Cleveland drafted Chubb in the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft out of Georgia and he’s been a pain in the side of the other 31 NFL teams ever since.

Chubb missed four games last season and still finished the year with 1,067 rushing yards and 12 rushing touchdowns, which is just insane. He wasn’t as destructive as a pass-catcher in 2020 but has shown in previous years that he is a threat in that department as well.

The Bengals face the Browns in Weeks 9 and 18 and if facing Chubb wasn’t bad enough, Cincinnati also has to worry about Kareem Hunt, the other Browns running back. Having to game plan for two solid running backs is a nightmare, especially for an atrocious Bengals run defense.

Chubb’s best game a season ago came in Week 11 against the Jaguars where he rushed for 144 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries and had 32 receiving yards off of three receptions. He only faced Cincinnati once last year, rushing for 124 yards and two touchdowns in Week 2, and could very well put on that same kind of performance again this year.

Nick Chubb is definitely one of the scariest running backs on the 2021 schedule.
