Ranking Cincinnati Bengals Wide Receivers: No. 3 – Tyler Boyd

As I said to close out the previous slide, it wasn’t easy ranking these guys because all three of them could easily be a WR1 on any other team. I put Tyler Boyd in the No. 3 slot because he’s the oldest of the three at age 26 and had less yards than Higgins a season ago.

Make no mistake though, Boyd is still incredibly talented. He went for over 1,000 yards in 2018 and 2019 while tallying 13 touchdowns combined in those two seasons. This past season he wasn’t as good, finishing the season with 841 yards and four touchdowns but he had the second-highest amount of receptions in his career with 79 (the highest was 90).

He went for over 100 yards in two games last season, one versus the Eagles and the other against the Browns. In the Week 3 tie against the Eagles, Boyd had his best game of the season, grabbing 10 catches for 125 yards. Four weeks later he went for 101 yards and a touchdown off of 11 receptions when facing Cleveland.

Some might argue that Boyd shouldn’t be No. 3 on this list and he honestly could be No. 1 on people’s as well. That’s how good these three Bengals wide receivers are though and it’s a great sign for what’s to come in this offense.
