Free Agents Who Could Start for Cincinnati Bengals – No. 2: Trai Turner

One of the biggest areas the Bengals still need to address is their offensive line and the best guard available in free agency is Trai Turner. Cincinnati met with Turner earlier in the offseason and a deal wasn’t struck between the two sides but Turner is still awaiting a team to sign with and the Bengals should be that team.

Not only do the Bengals have a need at guard still but Turner has proven to be a good player. He’s spent the entirety of his career at right guard and while Cincinnati is planning to stick Jackson Carman there, Turner would be an upgrade. They could also look to move Turner to left guard if this was a move they ended up making.

The Bengals wouldn’t sign Turner and leave him on the sideline. He’d be a starter on this o-line and he’d be a likely upgrade over Carman or Quinton Spain or whoever wins the left guard job.

Turner only played in nine games for the Chargers last year but he’s stated that he’s 100% and ready to compete this year. If he’s telling the truth, the Bengals need to bring him in and make their offensive line better.
