Free Agents Who Could Start for Cincinnati Bengals – No. 1: K.J. Wright

The other big area that needs to be addressed for the Bengals is linebacker, which has received heaps of criticism. It’s not without reason, of course, as the run defense was atrocious last season and the unit has to step it up this year.

Logan Wilson is a promising player but Germaine Pratt and Akeem Davis-Gaither are wild cards. Adding K.J. Wright to this linebacker room would be a huge move for the Bengals and Cincinnati was listed as a ‘logical landing spot’ for Wright’s services.

Wright is a durable linebacker who has started every regular-season game in each of the last two seasons. Considering how injury-plagued the Bengals have been in recent years, adding someone like Wright would be a smart move for this team.

If the Bengals are wanting to upgrade their linebackers, they need to sign Wright. He’s a good player and could make a huge difference on this team.

There’s still plenty of time between now and the start of training camp, which means the Bengals have time to add meaningful players. If they were to sign any of these three free agents, they’d be adding starters to their lineup who would make those positions stronger.

Hopefully, the Bengals aren’t done making moves this offseason and can get at least one of these guys added.
