Biggest Injury Risks for Cincinnati Bengals – No. 1: Jonah Williams

The Bengals’ biggest injury risk in 2021 is left tackle Jonah Williams, who earns the No. 1 spot on this list due to the injuries he’s already racked up in just two years at the helm. He missed his entire rookie season due to a shoulder injury he suffered in OTAs and then missed six games during the 2020 season as a result of a knee injury.

I’ve written before about how the Bengals need Williams to stay healthy and he’s arguably the most important player on their team after Burrow. Left tackles are responsible for protecting a quarterback’s blindside and Williams was taken No. 11 overall in 2019 to do just that.

The issues with Williams are particularly tied to his injuries and not his production. He’s looked good in minimal action but if he can’t stay healthy in 2021, the Bengals will have to begin searching for another left tackle who isn’t injury prone.

When it comes down to it, the Bengals’ biggest injury risk is Williams because he’s already missed 22 games in just two seasons as a professional offensive tackle. That’s not a great sign.
