Cincinnati Bengals: Projecting rookie roles in 2021

Projecting Cincinnati Bengals Rookie Roles – Evan McPherson (K)
It was no secret that the Bengals wanted to draft a kicker and Evan McPherson was one of the best to do it in college. Cincinnati fans still have PTSD from the whole Jake Elliott debacle and are nervous that the same situation could happen this year with McPherson.
It really does feel like the kicker job is McPherson’s to lose. Look for Austin Siebert to put up a fight, but in the end, McPherson should and probably will come out on top. Here’s to hoping his calves don’t seize up during his first game-winning opportunity.
Projecting Cincinnati Bengals Rookie Roles – Trey Hill (IOL)
Trey Hill seems to be the longest shot to make the team. During his career at Georgia, Hill started at all interior spots on the offensive line. He suffered two unfortunate knee injuries, which caused his draft stock to fall. The Bengals look to have Hill be a backup at all of the interior positions.
Hill will probably be in a training camp battle against Billy Price to make the team. The Bengals could choose to keep both Price and Hill if they decide to cut ties with Xavier Su’a Filo and save money.
