AFC North quarterback rankings – No. 4: Ben Roethlisberger (Pittsburgh Steelers)

This wouldn’t have been the case a few years ago, but the other three teams in the AFC North have drafted quarterbacks in the first round in the past three years, which has pushed Big Ben to the bottom of the pack.

Roethlisberger appeared in only two games in 2019 but managed to stay healthy in 2020. He led the Steelers to an 11-0 start but as we all know, Pittsburgh fell off a cliff not long after and narrowly won the AFC North despite their undefeated start to the season.

Big Ben put up decent numbers, tossing for 3,803 yards, 33 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions but it was clear in multiple games that he’s not the same quarterback he once was. This tends to happen to guys later on in their careers and Roethlisberger is no exception to that rule.

Some analysts have said that Burrow will be better than Big Ben this year and that’s not a bold take whatsoever. Roethlisberger might be a two-time Super Bowl champion but he’s no longer the top of the crop in the AFC North.
