Players who can shape Cincinnati Bengals’ future – No. 3: Tee Higgins

Tee Higgins was electric in his rookie season. If the 2020 second-round pick out of Clemson is able to build off that for his entire career, he could go down as one of the all-time Cincinnati greats.

When the Bengals were on the clock in the 2020 NFL Draft, the first round was mostly a given. With Joe Burrow on the board as the best player and a potential franchise quarterback, Cincinnati’s first big question came with what they would do in the second round. They happened to have Tee Higgins fall in their laps and quickly added him to a revamping offense.

Higgins turned heads in his rookie year by bringing in 67 receptions for 908 yards and six touchdowns. This kind of production is just what the Bengals were looking for to compliment Joe Burrow and help transition out A.J. Green, who they parted ways with this past offseason.

If Higgins is able to put up similar or better numbers throughout his career, he could help define Cincinnati as one of the best passing offenses in football.

Higgins can become a lock to the Hall of Fame if his whole career is filled with those kinds of numbers, but more importantly, the Bengals are hoping that he could heavily alter the trajectory of the franchise with his performance.
