Players who can shape Cincinnati Bengals’ future – No. 2: Ja’Marr Chase
Ja’Marr Chase is entering the league with sky-high expectations even though he has yet to play a snap as a professional wide receiver and it’s not hard to see why. Did you watch LSU football in 2019? If so, then you know what Chase is capable of.
If Higgins wasn’t exciting enough to see the offense transform, the addition of Chase was thrilling for fans of “air it out” style football. There are plenty of expectations for the young man but with expectations, there is also a tremendous amount of hype.
If Chase can live up to his ceiling as a better version of Amari Cooper, the Bengals could have two or three of the best wide receivers in the game on the field for every snap. Teams have had their entire offense changed by one great receiver, however, the Bengals are hoping to be able to do that with multiple All-Pro caliber guys.
With Tee Higgins and Tyler Boyd in the mix, the Bengals already have a top-tier offense, however, adding in Chase could be the cherry on top. If Chase lives up to his draft billing, the Bengals will be set on offense for years to come and can turn their focus to other areas that need attention and help.
