Players who can shape Cincinnati Bengals’ future – No. 1: Joe Burrow

Joe Burrow is No. 1 on here because he is the future of the Cincinnati Bengals. It shouldn’t come as a surprise that the direction of the Bengals over the next several years will depend on Burrow.

Drafted No. 1 overall in the 2020 NFL Draft, Burrow has been pegged as the franchise quarterback from day one. With the direction of the NFL, the successful teams have a quarterback who is able to make everyone around them better, and Burrow has a chance to be that guy.

Burrow will still have a shaky offensive line, but with new offense weapon Ja’Marr Chase, the young quarterback should be able to put up better numbers this year. Cincinnati is hoping that the exciting playmakers on offense will be enough to make up for the lack of attention the offensive line has received the last few years. It will be in large part up to Burrow to get the ball out quickly and take his game to another level.

If Burrow is able to become a true franchise quarterback, then there is reason to hope that the Bengals’ playoff drought will end soon. This season will show if Burrow is able to come back from injury and build on his great rookie campaign, and Cincinnati will be paying very close attention.

As goes Joe Burrow so go the Bengals.

These three players are going to shape the future of the Cincinnati Bengals and it’s hard to debate against that. Burrow is the quarterback, so of course he’s mentioned, but Chase and Higgins will be his two favorite weapons so they’re going to get plenty of attention too.

Hopefully, we’re entering a fun phase of Cincinnati Bengals football.
