Cincinnati Bengals to Protect – No. 5: Logan Wilson

After a promising rookie season, the Bengals are hoping to see more from Logan Wilson as he enters his sophomore season in the NFL. The third-round pick out of Wyoming missed four games last year due to injury but when he was on the field, he made it count.

Wilson finished his rookie season with 33 tackles, three defended passes, two interceptions, and one sack through 12 games. Bengals fans are excited about the future of this kid and with him only being 25 years old and entering year two, he’s a young player who is a no-brainer to protect in this scenario.

The Bengals didn’t do much to improve their linebacker position this offseason and Logan Wilson is a big reason as to why they left it be. They’re hoping that a healthy Wilson will be the difference this year and can make this run defense much better than it was a season ago.

An incoming NFL team would certainly be eyeing Wilson because he’s young and has three years left on his rookie deal, making him that much more appealing.
