The free agent who is taking a visit for the Cincinnati Bengals

In a common theme this offseason, the Bengals need to find a way to make sure that Joe Burrow spends less time running for his life and on the ground. There were a myriad of issues with his protection last season, that need to be corrected if Cincinnati is going to take the next step forward.

The Bengals seem to be doing something to that effect by bringing in center Austin Reiter for a visit. This is a move that Cincinnati should absolutely be trying to push to get done as quickly as possible.

Reiter would help to provide a better blocking presence than the current roster makeup, but the center and quarterback need as much time as possible together to work on their chemistry. Not only is this a move the Bengals need to make, it needs to happen quickly so that Reiter and Burrow get the majority of the preseason together.

Reiter is visiting with the Texans next, so hopefully, he doesn’t strike a deal while in Houston.

If the Bengals were able to make any of the three moves above, they would instantly possess a stronger roster than they currently have. With just north of $17 million in cap space, Cincinnati has the means to make the team better. Now we just wait and see if they actual do.
