It’s no secret who’s going to start at wide receiver for the Cincinnati Bengals this year. It’ll be the trio of Tyler Boyd, Ja’Marr Chase, and Tee Higgins getting the majority of the targets from second-year quarterback Joe Burrow.

With that being said, the Bengals can’t solely rely on those three to catch every single pass so naturally, there will be other receivers on the roster who need to step up and haul in passes every now and then. Maybe there’s a situation where the Bengals target a lesser-known player to throw defenses off a bit.

Training camp has been a great chance to show what kind of depth we could see behind the trio of trouble. One standout isn’t much of a surprise but there have been some names that Bengals fans certainly didn’t expect to have much of a role, if any role during the course of the 2021 season.

Let’s dive into three Bengals receivers who might have earned themselves some kind of role for the team in 2021.
