Bengals newcomers projected to be starters – No. 3: Larry Ogunjobi

Now we’re getting to the three biggest names the Bengals signed during the offseason and we’ll start with Larry Ogunjobi, who Cincy pried away from Cleveland.

Ogunjobi, a former third-round pick out of Charlotte, played with the Browns for the first four years of his career. He decided to stay in Ohio moving forward but signed with the Bengals instead, which was a move the Bengals hope will improve their defensive front desperately.

Unfortunately, Ogunjobi was injured prior to training camp and while Zac Taylor said it was a hamstring injury and didn’t appear to be a long-term thing, it’s still a cause for concern that he’s on the PUP list.

Ogunjobi’s best year came in 2019 when he had 5.5 sacks and 50 tackles while adding 13 quarterback hits. He’ll be a welcomed addition to this Bengals defense and hopefully, he gets healthy and is ready to go when the Vikings come to town in Week 1.
