Cincinnati Bengals bandwagons to hop on – No. 1: Logan Wilson

Logan Wilson is not a name that most casual fans of the Bengals have heard of. Drafted in the third round when all but the most avid followers are clueless about the players, Wilson joined the Bengals in the 2020 draft.

Last year as a rookie, he started just two games and did not have many stand out plays. However, what he did show is giving plenty of people optimism that he could become an anchor for the Bengals at linebacker.

Linebacker has been a weak spot for Cincinnati for the past several years, but they have not made any draft choices above the third round to address the issue. The front office is hoping Wilson can be a diamond in the rough.

Wilson did have some promising plays in 2020, recording two interceptions and a sack. This gives hope that he can fly to the ball and help plug a hole in the middle of the field.

After last year’s truncated offseason and preseason, there is hope that a full season of workouts and development can elevate Wilson’s game to the next level. He may not get much notice even if he plays well, but Wilson’s performance could dramatically affect how Cincinnati’s defense does as a whole.
