Joe Burrow needs to be able to shake off the rust

It has been a long time since Burrow has taken a game snap for the Cincinnati Bengals. Since getting injured last year, Burrow had to spend a long time in rehabilitation before he was able to even get back on the practice field. All signs point to Burrow making a good recovery, but he needs to get every rep possible to shake off the rust.

Many players come into the preseason rusty after not having played the entire offseason. This would be extra true for a player who did not play the second half of the year in addition to no games during the offseason. Burrow is entering the season with rust, and he needs a chance to get back in the groove.

Rather than throw away a game in the regular season where the result matters, the Bengals should use the final preseason game as a good chance to help Burrow get back into NFL action.

Cincinnati could win against the Vikings if Burrow looks sharp, and that is a risk the Bengals should take if they think they could put together a run at the playoffs this year.
