The Cincinnati Bengals‘ third and final preseason game takes place on Sunday against the Miami Dolphins. There are only three preseason games now due to the addition of a 17th regular-season game.

The Bengals won their first preseason game, fell in their second one, and hope to finish the preseason over .500. They’ll head home to Paul Brown Stadium for the first time this season hoping to give the home fans something to root about.

Bengals vs. Dolphins odds for preseason Week 3

According to WynnBet, the Dolphins are 1.5-point favorites over the Bengals. The moneyline grab for the Bengals is +100, meaning that placing $100 on the Bengals to win would result in an extra $100 should Cincinnati reign victorious. The moneyline grab for the Dolphins is -125, which means one would have to place $125 on the Dolphins to win, and if they won the game, the bettor would win an additional $100.

The Bengals are the home team so that does tip the scale in their favor. Joe Burrow is also slated to appear for the first time since his injury last season. This ups the Bengals’ chances to get off to a better start, but it’s doubtful Burrow plays more than a handful of series.

Bengals injury report vs. Dolphins for preseason Week 3

The Bengals got some bad news with third-round rookie Joseph Ossai, who might have to miss the entire season due to injury. This is a massive blow to the Bengals, who were hoping to have Ossai be a major part of their defense this year.

Cam Sample, another promising rookie, left the second preseason game with a shoulder injury. He was having a good preseason before exiting that game and not returning.

Bengals vs. Dolphins prediction for preseason Week 3

Preseason games are nearly impossible to predict and that’s even more the case with one less preseason game to watch. Typically, the third preseason game is when we see starters on the field the most but that was also when it was the second to last preseason matchup. The preseason finale typically doesn’t have any starters playing for any duration so we might not see any starters on either side of the ball.

That being said, the Bengals offense struggled last week even with most of their starters in the game. They’ll be the home team, but with the starters likely on the sideline, it’s really anyone’s game on Sunday.
