The Cincinnati Bengals finish off their preseason slate this week against the Dolphins, and here is what to look for.

It is a great time of year for football fans. The preseason is winding down and the hype for the first game of the regular season is mounting. The excitement around playing a football game that matters can often overshadow the importance of this last preseason game, but the Bengals have some key things to watch.

Cincinnati will close out their preseason football against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday. This is the first year that the preseason has been cut from four games down to three, so the coaches will have to determine their strategy for playing time for players.

Traditionally, the third game was when the starters got the most playing time, while in the fourth game the starters rested almost the entire game. Now, those games are combined and Zac Taylor will have to figure out what this game needs to be for his team.

Even though this will be the last game of the season where the score doesn’t matter, there are plenty of things to watch to give an indication of where the Bengals will be in the regular season. Here are the top things I will be watching.
