Bengals with something to prove

1. Thaddeus Moss

I was going to say Ja’Marr Chase here but the fact that he is a first-round pick, we know how good and talented he is, and his job is already secured on this offense. However, former LSU  teammate Thaddeus Moss is a different scenario. Moss has shown glimpses of talent at the tight-end position, but it hasn’t seemed like it’s created any leverage against C.J. Uzomah and Drew Sample.

Moss will see plenty of run in this game, and he will have to show something, or he is at risk of being listed to the practice squad or possibly cut from the roster. The Bengals won’t be relying heavily on tight end play this year due to having four receivers that will see excessive snaps and a running back they want on the field as much as possible. This means the odds of them taking three or four tight ends on the roster are slim.

Thad Moss has the natural ability and the size to be successful in this league, but his talent is very raw. At times he looks excellent and you can see the talent in his game, and other times, it seems nonexistent.

Most of the Bengals nation is rooting for Moss to be a difference-maker in Cincinnati, but a lot will ride on his performance in the final week of preseason. This is his second team since he was drafted, as he couldn’t find a roster spot in his rookie season after going undrafted to Washington.

It’s time for these four Bengals to step up and show they belong on this roster. If they don’t show anything, they’ll be looking for new teams.
