Bubble Players Who Should Make Bengals Roster

4. Jacques Patrick

It was hard not to notice Jacques Patrick after what he did against the Buccaneers in the preseason opener (15 carries for 71 yards) and again when facing Washington (six carries for 42 yards) but unfortunately, he might not make the final roster when it’s all said and done.

This is because Joe Mixon and Samaje Perine are locks to make the team and rookie Chris Evans made a strong case to be RB3 during the preseason, especially with that impressive touchdown catch on Sunday.

This makes it difficult for Patrick to find a spot on the roster so at this point, he might be a practice squad option, but don’t expect him to stay there for long, as other teams will have definitely taken notice of the former XFL standout.

Patrick put the heat on the other running backs ahead of him on the depth chart and fans would love to see him make the roster. The Bengals could opt to carry four running backs because of how good Patrick was but this might not be the smartest route for them to take in theory due to other needs.
