Cincinnati Bengals Roster – Defensive Line (11)

  • Sam Hubbard
  • Trey Hendrickson
  • Cam Sample
  • Khalid Kareem
  • Darius Hodge
  • D.J. Reader
  • Larry Ogunjobi
  • Tyler Shelvin
  • Mike Daniels
  • Josh Tupou
  • B.J. Hill

With Joseph Ossai missing the entire season, that opened things up for Marshall standout Darius Hodge to make the final roster. That’s the only good thing to come from Ossai’s injury, as Hodge definitely deserved to make the team with the performance he put on this summer.

The rest of the roster feels pretty cut and dry here. We know Hubbard, Hendrickson, Reader, and Ogunjobi are making it and will be key starters. Sample and Shelvin are rookies who the Bengals drafted for a reason.

That leaves four spots and as we mentioned, Hodge more than earned his spot. Kareem played incredibly well and Daniels and Tupou stood out as well. B.J. Hill was traded to Cincinnati on Monday and is going to provide a solid backup piece behind Ogunjobi.

It’ll be interesting to see if the Bengals truly do decide to carry 11 defensive linemen but if they do, no one could really blame them.
