Final cuts need to be made today and that puts the Cincinnati Bengals in a tough position. There will be several difficult decisions needing to be made, especially at positions like running back, wide receiver, tight end, and the offensive and defensive lines.
The Bengals have until 4:00 EST to make their final roster moves and just because a player is “safe” through the first wave doesn’t mean they’ll be on the team come Week 1. As players are let go, other teams have a chance to scoop them up and they’ll need to release other players to make room.
There are several players who did what they needed to do to make a positive impression but now the question remains — Will it be enough to land them on the final roster? And if they do make it, will they remain on the roster after the Bengals look through the waiver wire and decide if there’s anyone they’d like to add?
These star players will be players fans will certainly be watching for today but the expected cut names will be included here as well. Who will make the Bengals’ final roster?
With only a few hours to go until the deadline, we at Stripe Hype have you covered with all of the roster cuts taking place today. Here’s one place where all of the cuts made by the Bengals will be listed. Check back throughout the day to see if any additional cuts have taken place.

Mike Daniels, DL
The Bengals traded for B.J. Hill on Monday and this could have led to Mike Daniels’ dismissal.

Michael Jordan, OL
This isn’t shocking considering that Jordan wasn’t running with the 2s during Sunday’s preseason finale. This opens the door for rookies Jackson Carman and D’Ante Smith to serve as the backup guards.
Bengals have waived former fourth-round pick and starting guard Michael Jordan, per source. Always a surprise to see a team release Michael Jordan.

There was speculation all day that the tight end didn’t make the team but it was confirmed right as the deadline hit.

Jacques Patrick, RB
The former XFL running back made a strong impression this summer throughout preseason but he’s been waived. I’ll be shocked if he makes it through waivers and sticks on the practice squad.

WR Trent Taylor
Trent Taylor, WR
It appears that Trenton Irwin has won the WR6 job, as Trent Taylor is getting waived. The hope is that he can clear waivers and stick with the team on the practice squad. He was so much fun to watch this summer.
This play was not enough for WR Trent Taylor to make the #Bengals’ roster. He will be waived today, but they want him on their practice squad if he clears. https://t.co/2LrgynKJMG

Pooka Williams, RB
UDFA Pooka Williams is another player the Bengals hope to add to their practice squad, assuming he clears waivers. The Kansas product provides versatility in the form of a running back, wide receiver, and return specialist.
