Thaddeus Moss is back

Fans were shocked to see that Thaddeus Moss was cut on Tuesday. Moss was one of the more notable cuts from the day and it paved the way for Mitchell Wilcox to be the TE3 on the roster behind C.J. Uzomah and Drew Sample.

Wilcox likely won the job over Moss due to his previous special teams history with the Bengals, which is something Moss didn’t have on his resumé with any team he played for. With that said, Moss made the practice squad and if anything happens to any of the three tight ends currently on the roster, Moss will get a chance to shine.

It’s not crazy to think that Moss could become a popular weapon in the Bengals offense due to his previous connection with Joe Burrow at LSU in 2019. This is what landed him a job in Cincinnati but what he did in training camp and preseason should have been enough to earn him a spot on the final roster.

Maybe we’ll see Moss get that chance at some point during the 2021 season but for now, he’ll be chilling on the practice squad and other teams will have a chance to steal him away from Cincinnati.
