Round 7: Pick 200 – Jaylon Robinson (UCF), Wide Receiver

As well as the Bengals appear to have stocked the wide receiver cupboard, further reinforcements may be needed. Auden Tate’s contract expires in 2022, and he may look to hit free agency and find a team who can give him more regular snaps.

Meanwhile, the search will continue for a steady backup to Tyler Boyd in the slot.

At first look, 5’9″ Jaylon Robinson would appear to be a slot-only at the next level. His shiftiness allows him to beat coverage, while his toughness allows him to take on safeties and linebackers in the middle of the defense.

That grit is also why Robinson can be split out wide. He will battle with longer, outside corners and still puts up a strong fight on contested grabs. Those traits were fully on display when catching six passes for 140 yards and a touchdown vs Boise State most recently.

The later rounds present an opportunity to add depth and the Bengals would be getting an excellent depth piece at receiver with Jaylon Robinson.
