Vikings to Watch – Danielle Hunter

The Bengals decided not to spend heavily and address the offensive line this offseason. In a decision that has been much debated, there will be an additional data point at the end of the game.

The Minnesota Vikings have a defensive end, Danielle Hunter, who has put together back-to-back amazing seasons. With 14.5 sacks in each of the last two seasons, Hunter has emerged as one of the best defensive ends in the league.

If Cincinnati’s offensive line does not improve, this could be a bad game for Joe Burrow and company. Burrow is just coming back from injury, and too many hits could create some bad tendancies.

This would obviously hurt the Bengals in this game but could spell some trouble down the road. On the other hand, if the Bengals offensive line is able to contain Hunter this could be a promising sign of an offensive line that is much better than last season.

Either way, Hunter is going to be the man to watch on the Vikings defense, as he is not only their best player on that side of the ball, but will also help highlight an area of concern for the Bengals.
