The Cincinnati Bengals travel to Chicago this week to take on the Bears. This is a perfect matchup to start Joe Burrow in most fantasy football leagues.

Coming into the season, there were major question marks around how Burrow would be able to bounce back and what kind of connection he could build with his talented skill players. After Week 1, the questions have disappeared.

The Bengals quarterback put on a beautiful performance, completing 20-of-27 passes for 261 yards and two touchdowns against the Vikings. Minnesota was thought to have a solid defense, recently strengthened during the offseason but Burrow was able to pick them apart and lead his team to an overtime win with a solid return.

The Cincinnati Bengals will now head to Chicago to take on a defense that struggled last week against the Los Angeles Rams. Chicago struggled to stop the Rams passing attack, surrendering 312 passing yards and three passing touchdowns. These are great results from a team that aims to establish themselves in the passing attack. A similar blueprint by Zac Taylor and the Bengals could yield huge results.

With the skill players the Bengals have, the offense may be fairly comparable to the Rams. Ja’Marr Chase proved himself to be a great asset by leading the team in receiving yards, and this is ahead of Tee Higgins and Tyler Boyd who have already established themselves in the league. Ultimately, Joe Burrow will have a lot of options to throw the ball against a team that struggled to stop the pass.

The Bengals will also start opening up the playbook a little more to let Burrow loose. In Week 1 the coaching staff was trying to ease him back in and make sure he feels comfortable in game action. Now that he has proven himself, the training wheels come off and Burrow can have full reign of this team.
