Sunday was not a banner day to be a Cincinnati Bengals fan. Coming on the heels of a rousing win opening week against the Vikings at Paul Brown Stadium, hope was renewed that Zac Taylor could land his first ever road win at Soldier Field against a Bear team that was smacked around opening week by the Rams.

So much for that.

In spite of some extremely questionable officiating, the defense held up quite well, but the offense seemed to be lost in the weeds. The offensive line was once again a revolving door, with bruises for Joe Burrow waiting on the other side.

In a game that was completely winnable, with a superior talent level, especially at the skill positions, the offense was only capable of posting 17 points. It was only when the game was out of hand that Coach Taylor decided to unleash the offense and play with some urgency. Unfortunately at that point, the game was already lost.

Many questions must be answered by this staff and team moving forward, but let’s focus specifically on three that must be answered before the Bengals play the Steelers in Week 3 at Heinz Field.
