3 Bengals who must step up vs. Steelers in Week 3

Bengals who must step up
1. Sam Hubbard
Sam Hubbard often plays the most defensive snaps throughout the game, so making sure he has an impact will be vital for the defense.
The Bengals know how the Steelers and Ben Roethlisberger play. If Cincinnati doesn’t apply pressure, Roethlisberger will make the right throws and find ways to convert first downs. Applying pressure in this game, especially if Big Ben is shaken up going into this one with a pec injury, will be very helpful to getting the defense off the field and forcing punts or turnovers.

Hubbard has had six tackles, four assisted tackles, and 0.5 sacks through two games this season. He has not played poorly by any means, but even he knows how big of a game this is to the city of Cincinnati and the season for the Bengals. He mentioned in his press conference Thursday evening.
Also, knowing where Najee Harris is will be needed because he can make a serious impact on the ground; he can also make plays with his hands with dump-off screens out of the backfield will his speed and agility. Hubbard and Hendrickson especially will have to maintain the edge throughout the game by not letting him get to the second level.
Hubbard will have to step up and be a catalyst for this defensive line on Sunday, and if he does, expect this to be a very close, defensive game.
