McPherson is human, but fear not

Evan McPherson has captured the hearts of a lot of Bengals fans throughout his four games at the helm but it was only a matter of time before he missed a field goal. That moment came on his first attempt of the game, which was on Cincinnati’s first offensive drive of the game and it was a bummer to see that drive end with zero points.

McPherson proved his worth when it mattered most though, as the game once again came down to his leg. In the final seconds, the Bengals trotted McPherson out to attempt a 35-yard game-winning field goal to move his team to 3-1 on the year.

Fans held their breaths as the ball sailed into the air and went through the uprights. Cincinnati had come back down two touchdowns and won the game in the final seconds.

While McPherson missed his first attempt of the game, hitting the game-winner was all fans cared about on Thursday. He continues to be the kicker Bengals fans have dreamed about.
