Bengals Injury Report: Joe Mixon is active vs. Packers

The big question all week long for the Cincinnati Bengals was if running back Joe Mixon would play or not against the Green Bay Packers.
The answer is “yes”, as Mixon is active for the Week 5 matchup against Green Bay. Mixon didn’t play in the final minutes of the Bengals’ Week 4 victory over Jacksonville (which feels like a lifetime ago) and has been listed as questionable all week.
Mixon didn’t practice throughout the week, but Geoff Hobson said that he should get a decent number of carries.
With Mixon active , have to expect him to get a decent number of carries. With two healthy starting CBs, rookie DE Hodge inactive, as are OT Johnson, DT Shelvin, WR Thomas CB McCloud.

The following Bengals are inactive for Week 5.
- DE Darius Hodge
- OL Fred Johnson
- CB Nick McCloud
- DT Tyler Shelvin
- WR Mike Thomas
Mixon was the big storyline all week long and the Bengals definitely need him if they want to keep the Packers defense on its toes.
Speaking of the Packers, here’s their list of inactives.

OL Elgton Jenkins
OL Josh Myers
LB Jaylon Smith
CB Rasul Douglas
DL Jack Heflin
S Vernon Scott
Not having Elgton Jenkins is huge for Green Bay’s defense, as they’re already down Jaire Alexander. Cincinnati’s offense has a chance to make this game competitive but they can’t come out flat. Zac Taylor can’t call conservative plays and has to make the most of Green Bay not having some of their best defenders.

It’s good to see Joe Mixon out there for this one and hopefully, the Bengals can surprise some people with a massive win over one of the best teams in the NFL.
