Cincinnati Bengals Weekly MVPs

Defense: Chidobe Awuzie

Now, Chidobe Awuzie missed part of the game while injured, but regardless he forced the only turnover after getting an interception early in the game and made a lot of big plays and tackles for the Bengals when needed. Davante Adams had his way with the Bengals secondary, but when you only single cover him, he will do that to most defenses.

But all together, Awuzie ended the game with the highest PFF grade out of any player on the Bengals with a 77.6 overall grade. Nobody else was higher.

Awuzie had moments when Adams seemed to abuse him, but for single coverage, he competed with many balls and made several plays for the secondary throughout the game, which makes him worthy of being named Defensive MVP.

After going into concussion protocol and then picking up where he left off when he returned to the game was very impressive. Awuzie ended the game with six tackles, which was third on the team, then add in the interception, and I believe this one was a no-brainer.
